Hi, I’m Bima Sakti – Founder of Bima Surf Bali

I’m 29 years old and have been surfing my whole life. I grew up in a small fishing village, where the ocean was a huge part of my daily life. From a young age, I learned how to read the sea, the moon, and the stars - skills passed down through generations of fishermen. The ocean has always been my playground, my teacher, and my passion.

Surfing isn’t just a sport for me, it’s a way of life. My journey began on the waves of West Sumatra, where I started teaching surf lessons to share my love and deep knowledge of the sea. That passion eventually led me to Bali, where I moved at the end of 2015. Since then, I’ve worked with many surf schools and surf camps across the island, helping people from all over the world connect with the ocean through surfing.

Along the way, I also learned sign language, which has allowed me to work closely with deaf customers. Teaching surfing through sign language has been one of the most rewarding parts of my career, proving that the ocean speaks to all of us, no matter what language we use.

After years of experience, I decided to build something of my own – and that’s how Bima Surf Bali was born. My mission is simple: to share everything I know about the ocean, the waves, and the art of surfing with those who are eager to learn. Whether you’re a complete beginner or an intermediate surfer looking to improve your skills, I’m here to guide you through an unforgettable surfing experience – rooted in respect for the sea and the joy of riding its waves.
